True to his sacred oath of office, General Christopher Musa, the freshly minted Chief of Defence Staff of the Nigerian Armed Forces is totally and irrevocably committed to upholding the Nigerian Constitution and defending the territorial integrity of the nation as well as protecting it against internal insurrection by sundry extremist forces including terrorists, insurgents, militants and separatist elements.
Crucially, the principled Chief of Defence Staff has signposted his utmost dedication to upholding constitutional order and established democratic norms which presupposes the military’s deference to the democratically elected government of the day no matter it’s sectional, religious or partisan colourations.
Thus an apolitically inclined General Christopher Musa has studiously steered the military
above the political fray as he intensifies the holistic military campaign to hunt down, dislodge, capture and eradicate armed criminal elements from their nefarious hideouts thus ensuring lasting peace, stability and tranquility nationwide.
A steadfast Gen Christopher Musa’s commitment to the indivisibility, indissolubility and indestructibility of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is unshakable, unwavering and unrelenting in all its positive ramifications.
The resolutely patriotic CDS has had to read the riot act to faceless advocates of military rule by warning them to desist or be sanctioned no more, no less:
‘We do better during democracy and so we will continue to support democracy and any of us that are calling for anything other than democracy are evil people and they don’t mean us well. They should be very careful because the laws will come after them.
Yes, we can see a lot of things happening in Nigeria.
We are going through trying period. In life, nothing is 100%. Everybody goes through trying period but it is what you do with it that matters. And we can see that the government is putting in efforts for it to get better.”
His tough, unequivocal and unconditional support for democracy and constitutional order sent the irresponsible ‘coup’ advocates scampering for cover as they know that the no-nonsense Gen Christopher Musa means what he says and says what he means.
His words as the proverbial saying goes, can be taken to the bank, his character disposition is as solid as the Rock of Gilbatrar and as constant and immutable as the Northern Star.
Rather than been distracted by the fumblings of naysayers and sundry malcontents, the proactive CDS is determinedly focused on ridding his beloved fatherland of all manner of security threats and enemies of state who must be vanquished by all means necessary.
As the Americans say, things are looking up as the loyal, patriotic and fervently nationalistic General Christopher Musa, the 18th Chief of Defence Staff in the nation’s history steadfastly defends Nigeria’s democracy as well as guaranteeing its territorial integrity and national sovereignty.
To God be the Glory.
