He earned his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Abuja, graduating with distinction before being called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. His thirst for knowledge led him to pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Refugee and International Humanitarian Law at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in 2018. He furthered his studies with a Master’s degree (LLM) in International Law and Diplomacy and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Law. Barrister Ibe began his legal career in 2011 at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC Tower), where he served as an Investigator. This early exposure to the intricacies of financial regulation laid the foundation for his robust career in corporate and commercial law.
In 2012, he joined Osita Aboloma & Associates in Abuja, where he now serves as the Managing Attorney. At the firm, Ibe oversees a wide range of legal matters, including advocacy, property law, corporate law, litigation, and securities consulting. His commercial law expertise spans agency, distribution, licensing and franchising, trademark and patent licensing, copyright protection, and non-disclosure agreements. In employment law, he provides advisory services on contracts, redundancies, wrongful and unfair terminations, and immigration compliance for foreign nationals.
An emerging scholar in law, Barrister Ibe is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Veritas University, Abuja. His research focuses on dispute resolution in Africa, particularly under the auspices of the United Nations, and he has argued compellingly for the recognition of aggression as an international crime. Barrister Ibe is a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and has held several prestigious positions within the legal community. A former Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abuja Branch, he was recently elected as a Representative to the General Council of the Bar in the NBA National Election 2024.
