Civil society, youths, professional, activist, student and women groups under the aegis of the Okojie Victory Assured Coalition (OVATION) have expressed their profound, unshakable, unflinching and unequivocal support, loyalty and adulation for Hon (Prince) Odianosen Okojie, the able Chairman House Committee on Petroleum Midstream representing Esan North East/ Esan South West Federal Constituency of Edo State in the upcoming Edo Central Senatorial polls.
According to the OVATION communique made available to newsmen and signed by its
National Convener, Comrade Austin Asadu: ‘Hon (Prince) Odianosen Okojie has no credible opponent or realistic adversary in the upcoming Edo Central Senatorial Zone slugfest as he is heads and shoulders above all of them due to his consistent, constant and unrelenting delivery of democratic dividends to his beloved Esan people not caring whose ox is gored in the process. While others limit their projects and programs to their particular constituency or locality, the inclusive-minded Hon Okojie has empowered tens of thousands of Esan adults, youths, women, graduates, widows, the infirm and the physically challenged throughout the nooks and crannies of Esanland and indeed Edo State in general.
His infrastructural, developmental and socio-economic exploits can be felt in the roads, health, education, power, pipeborne water, agriculture, housing, rural development, manpower development and the women and youths empowerment spheres.
Crucially, a bold and stalwart Hon Odi Okojie was the famed architect of the winning APC zoning formula that ceded the governorship mantle to the much-marginalized Edo Central Zone (Esanland) which saw the emergence and subsequent landslide victory of His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo as Executive Governor of Edo State. Without Hon Odi Okojie’s decisive intervention, some self-serving APC bigwigs would have swayed the APC ticket to Edo South to curry favour from some favoured traditional chieftains.
However, an utterly uncompromising Hon Odi Okojie stood to be counted on the side of the great Esan Nation come rain, come shine.
Having put Edo Central Senatorial Zone at the front burner of the Edo political configuration once again, there is little doubt that based on his dynamic, proactive and action-oriented track record, Hon (Prince) Odianosen Okojie is the unrivalled contender for the Edo South Senatorial polls and should be wholeheartedly supported by the key stakeholders, activists, professionals, students, market women, artisans, traders and all other well-meaning groups in our beloved zone.
